Our Healing Beliefs
-
The human body has an innate ability to heal. It needs energy, time, and awareness to facilitate healing.
-
The body was designed to move, because movement is fundamental to health, happiness, and survival. The brain’s second job, after survival, is movement.
-
Achieving physical alignment through movement allows your cells to have more efficient access to intake, output, elimination, and rest, which leads to optimal health.

We weren’t born with a body instruction manual, and few of us know how to efficiently use our own. Still, filling in your “mental map” of places in your body is important for good function.
Your spine is like a spring; do you feel springy? Your joints are like urban freeway interchanges; let’s keep the traffic clear! Pain and discomfort are our body’s ways of communicating with us. It is how we respond to those signals, and the opportunity it creates, that will ultimately determine whether we have the pain again later in life or not. It is never too early to start; in fact, prevention is the best “medicine.” You can remind your body how to be a well-integrated system and live powerfully in any setting.

Our Instructors utilize the incredible resources of Z-Health®, the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® method, and Restorative Exercise™, to provide our students with the best program for their optimum health and well-being in post-rehabilitative support or general/ongoing athletic conditioning. These are science-based movement arts, catered to YOU.
During your initial visit, you’ll be given a health evaluation and assessment of your individual needs. A unique program will be developed to meet your physical needs and goals. We use hands-on cues to guide clients through three-dimensional movements which restore functional strength and align the body. You’ll learn how to transform your everyday movements so they benefit your body alignment and you’ll take home exercises to practice throughout the week. We constantly evaluate how your body is responding and make changes as needed. Our ultimate goal is to empower YOU with the tools you need for creating your own greater health, so you can carry on with your favorite activities in a body that has innate structural integrity.

“The ultimate aim is to be at home in one’s body, to be at one with the nature of oneself, and to experience exercise as a creative and delightful experience.”

GYROTONIC® Method
There is no other movement system like The Gyrotonic Expansion System method. The equipment allows you to pandiculate: decompress the spine and joints, stretch AND strengthen simultaneously without friction. The spiraling, three-dimensional movements follow the laws of nature, the way your body is supposed to move in everyday activity. That is why it feels so good; Gyrotonic exercises move you in a way your body wishes it could move, all the time. It’s a massage from the inside out that conditions you to have inner strength.
The Gyrotonic Method addresses the entire person, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and improving strength, and movement efficiency. The flowing movements come from developmental and fascial movement patterning in the body, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. You have to find out what this feels like for you.

GYROKINESIS® Method
The Gyrokinesis method is a movement method that originated from Juliu Horvath’s personal healing journey and creation of Yoga for Dancers. It gently works the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method, which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.
During a Gyrokinesis class, students move continuously, with brief pauses between the sequences to allow for calming, expanded awareness. The whole body is stimulated as a system; no one part moves in isolation. We expect to feel the tips of the fingers as connected to the tips of the toes, the top of the head as connected to the tailbone, with all parts moving in opposition for greater expansion.
